New!
Monofilament recycling bins - this spring and summer, we'll be placing
several monofilament recycling bins at local marinas and tackle shops.
We can use help with this project, both in getting the bins installed
and monitoring them (removing fishing line and filling out a short data
sheet) throughout the summer and fall. E-mail
jen@blueoceansociety.org
for details.
-
Volunteer Night!
We have monthly (usually) Volunteer Nights scheduled for 2
hours on a weeknight at our office. Projects have included collating
newsletters, organizing merchandise, and helping to make photo note
cards (which we use as a fundraiser). No training is needed, and it's a
great way to meet our scientists/educators and learn more about what we
do, while hanging out with others who care about the marine environment!
If you might be interested, email
jen@blueoceansociety.org
and we'll contact you when the next one is scheduled!
-
Beach cleanups - we have monthly beach cleanups at several beaches, and
are always looking for help!
