Ocean sunfish, or "Mola mola", are the largest bony fish species, sometimes growing to a diameter of 10 feet across!  They are regularly seen near the water surface, and its thought that sunlight aids in their digestion of the plankton and jellyfish they feed on.  These fish don't have scales, so they are susceptible to parasites and lesions.
