1. REDUCE the amount of plastic used by each individual in the
house.
Some ways to do this: use
fabric shopping bags instead of plastic bags (which usually results in a
discount!). Refuse to buy pre-packaged goods which have an unnecessary
amount of packaging.
2. REUSE plastic containers whenever possible.
3. RECYCLE as many plastic bottles and materials as possible.
4. Cut any plastic rings or strapping before disposal.
5. Do not dispose sanitary items and cotton balls down the
toilet.
6. Do not leave or bury any litter on the beach.
7. When boating or at the beach, make
sure all trash goes into
appropriate trash bins.
