Sloop is a female humpback who was born in 1987 to a whale named Cerdo. She was named for the marking on her right flight that looks like a mast and sail, resembling the sailing boat known as a "sloop".

We have sighted Sloop in our area a couple times over the past several years, in 1996 and 2003.
