Major Sponsors: NH Coastal Program, Waste Management, FPL Seabrook Station

Portsmouth HS Volleyball team. Photo courtesy A. FeitelsonOn one Saturday in September, thousands of volunteers from over 90 countries clean a coastal area as part of the International Coastal Cleanup, the largest one-day volunteer event of its kind.

We'll be coordinating this year's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) in New Hampshire, thanks to funding from the New Hampshire Coastal Program and major sponsorship from Waste Management!

The ICC was begun by the Ocean Conservancy (formerly the Center for Marine Conservation) 22 years ago at a beach in Texas, and has grown to a worldwide event involving 90 countries.  For more information on the cleanup overall, visit www.coastalcleanup.org.
