Chasing Coral is about the incredible true story of a team of divers, scientists, and photographers who set out on an adventurous journey to capture the disappearance of corals, and reveal this underwater mystery to the world. Chasing Coral is an emotional ride through the ocean that took over 3 years to capture on film, and over 500 hours of underwater footage! This is a must watch for any ocean lover.

If you’ve seen any Disney Nature movies, then you know you’re in for a treat with this one! What’s fascinating about this film, is it explores the different species of Earth’s five oceans, giving you a variety of different marine life to view and learn about.  The film also talks about the negative aspects of human activity on the environment, and how we can prevent further damage to these delicate ecosystems. And with an 80-million-dollar movie budget, the videography within the film is quite breathtaking.

When journalist Craig Leeson discovers plastic waste while searching for a blue whale in an area that should’ve been pristine ocean, he sets off on a quest to discover alarming truths on plastic pollution. Teaming up with free diver Tanya Streeter and a group of scientists and researchers, their adventure takes place all over the world, where they reveal the solutions to the disturbing problem of plastic pollution. This is an inspiring and very informative documentary that everyone should watch to be updated on the ongoing plastic issue.

This documentary is a shining example of how just one individual can make a tremendous difference in protecting our planet. The movie follows world-renowned marine biologist, Sylvia Earle, and her “Mission Blue” campaign to save the ocean from threats such as overfishing and pollution. Along with stunning underwater footage of the creatures within it, this documentary takes you through the life and career of Dr. Earle, along with her goal of creating a network of marine sanctuaries around the world.

Awarded best documentary film in 2010, this true story highlights the brave activists, film makers, and free divers who embark on a mission to expose the disturbing annual tradition of slaughtering dolphins in a hidden cove off Taiji, Japan. This documentary will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the team risks their lives to go undercover and let the world know of the hidden truths of the cove. Along the way, you’ll learn a lot about dolphins and their struggles around the world, and the solutions to solving the problem in Taiji.
